Happy Canada Day!!!
Two years ago my best friend and I decided to head to Ottawa for the Canada Day long weekend. It was unbelievably busy. We knew it would be, but we were not prepared for HOW busy it was! Naturally we escaped the crowds as much as possible and explored the less busy areas of the Capital.

I don’t think I’ll ever head to Ottawa for Canada Day again, but it was definitely an experience that I’m glad I had. I’ve never been around so many people who were so outwardly in love with Canada. I don’t believe that any country is perfect, but there are many, MANY reasons that I am proud and grateful to be Canadian.
To celebrate Canada Day this year I’m going to enjoy delicious recipes from last week’s 5-Ingredient Monday link-up. Hopefully I will use the energy these delicious foods give me to walk around Toronto and take in the sights and sounds of the cities celebrations
